ABOUT

Fear Safe is a wearable reflection of our built environment, guided by materials and the physical processes of construction and destruction. Fear Safe invites us to consider the practice of labor and maintenance, encouraging mutual care by examining the symbiotic relationship between humanity and the garments that support and protect us. Fear Safe highlights the inevitable process of degradation through hand-dying, mending, and restoration. Fear Safe began with cast-offs and discarded materials, reinforcing a network of sustainability and a relationship between our bodies, society, nature, and history. Fear Safe stands for freedom, autonomy, and equality. If you cut Everything away we are all just Humans born from a circle and Living/ Dying on a circle.Fear Safe is an experimental fashion practice established in 2014. All garments are designed by Charles T. Kelman and made in Los Angeles.
